Job Summary:
The Transport Coordinator is responsible for managing and supervising the school transportation system to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation services for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage daily school bus operations and routes.
- Prepare and maintain bus routes, schedules, and student transportation records.
- Coordinate with bus drivers, attendants, parents, and school authorities.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
- Monitor bus attendance and maintain student boarding records.
- Handle parent queries and concerns related to transportation.
- Ensure compliance with school transport policies and safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular checks of buses for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
- Coordinate with transport vendors/drivers for vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Maintain records of driver details, vehicle documents, permits, insurance, and fitness certificates.
- Manage emergency situations and take appropriate action when required.
- Assist in transport-related planning during school events and examinations.
- Prepare transport reports and submit updates to the administration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Experience in school transport management or administration is an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle emergencies calmly.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and record management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Work Schedule:
Full-time (School working hours; may require additional support during events or emergencies).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹31,913.88 per month
