Job Purpose
To promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among students by planning, organizing, and conducting physical education classes, sports activities, and competitions in accordance with CBSE guidelines and the school's vision.
Key Responsibilities1. Physical Education & Sports
- Plan and conduct Physical Education classes for all assigned grades.
- Develop students' physical fitness, motor skills, coordination, and sportsmanship.
- Teach rules, techniques, and strategies of various indoor and outdoor games.
- Prepare annual and monthly sports activity plans.
- Encourage maximum student participation in sports and fitness activities.
2. Coaching & Training
- Identify talented students and provide specialized coaching.
- Train school teams for inter-house, inter-school, district, state, and CBSE competitions.
- Organize regular practice sessions before and after school whenever required.
- Maintain performance records of student athletes.
3. Sports Events Management
- Organize Annual Sports Day, Sports Week, Inter-house competitions, and Fitness Programmes.
- Coordinate sports selections, fixtures, schedules, and event logistics.
- Arrange officials, equipment, certificates, medals, and sports materials.
- Ensure smooth conduct of all sports events.
4. Student Health & Safety
- Ensure safety of students during physical activities.
- Inspect playgrounds and sports equipment regularly.
- Provide basic first aid during sports activities and report injuries immediately.
- Promote warm-up, cool-down, and injury prevention practices.
5. Equipment & Inventory Management
- Maintain the sports equipment stock register.
- Ensure proper issue, return, storage, and maintenance of sports equipment.
- Report damaged or missing equipment.
- Recommend procurement of new sports materials as required.
6. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance and assessment records of students.
- Prepare sports reports, achievement records, and documentation.
- Assist in CBSE documentation related to sports and physical education.
- Maintain records of competitions, certificates, and participation.
7. Discipline & Student Development
- Promote discipline, punctuality, leadership, teamwork, and fair play.
- Motivate students to participate in fitness and wellness programmes.
- Counsel students regarding healthy lifestyle habits.
8. School Responsibilities
- Perform morning assembly duties and supervision duties as assigned.
- Escort students during educational tours, sports meets, and competitions.
- Participate in school functions, celebrations, admissions, and special events.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programmes.
- Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) / Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.).
- Relevant teaching certification as per CBSE/State norms.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a CBSE or reputed school (preferred).
- Experience in coaching school teams for competitive sports.

Working Hours
As per school timings, with additional hours during sports practice, competitions, annual events, and tournaments as required.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
