I'm looking for a driven and talented Junior Interior Designer to join CozyNest Interiors in Whitefield, Bengaluru. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, contribute to diverse projects, and grow within a fast-paced environment. You'll work directly with me, supporting projects from concept to completion.
DESIGN LIFECYCLE AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Requirements & Conceptualization Support:
- Assist in gathering precise project requirements.
- Support ideation and preliminary concept development.
- Obtain client approvals to advance the design stages.
B. Design Development & Documentation:
- Develop mood boards, space plans, and material palettes under guidance.
- Research and select items/materials, considering dimensions, durability, and cost.
- Create 2D space plans and detailed 3D models using SketchUp and AutoCAD.
- Render photorealistic images of finalized designs using V-Ray, D5 Render etc.
- Prepare electrical, false ceiling, and furniture layouts.
- Maintain accurate meeting minutes and concept notes for all projects.
C. Project Execution & Site Coordination:
- Coordinate effectively with vendors, contractors, and clients.
- Prepare clear instructions for on-site teams.
- Conduct mandatory site visits to monitor progress and address challenges.
- Provide timely and clear updates to the Principal Designer.
D. Material Knowledge & Sourcing:
- Stay updated on new materials and industry trends.
- Source and organize samples of new materials for project consideration.
E. Administrative & Project Management Support:
- Communicate project timelines to clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Follow up to ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Document design change requests; communicate changes to site and contractors.
- Prepare detailed Minutes of Meeting (MOMs).
- Assist in obtaining client sign-offs for projects and revisions.
- Maintain project files and design libraries
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
A. Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s diploma/degree in Interior Design, or an equivalent field.
B. Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and rendering software is a must.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Powerpoint etc.
C. Material Acumen:
- Demonstrated understanding of material availability, characteristics, and finishes.
D. Soft Skills (Crucial for My Team):
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication in English and Hindi is mandatory. Kannada and Telugu are highly desirable.
- Professionalism: Punctual, polite, and maintains a pleasant attitude.
- Proactive & Problem-Solver: Self-driven, takes initiative, and possesses proven problem-solving
- abilities.
- Adaptability: Learns quickly and thrives in a dynamic freelance environment.
- Team Player: Eager to assist, collaborate, and grow with the business.
- Proximity: Living within reasonable distance to Whitefield, so that commute is not a problem.
WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- 3-5 years of experience in interior design including site-supervision and vendor interaction.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing diverse projects is essential.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
