We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Pricing Specialist with solid freight forwarding experience to join our growing global logistics support team.
Position Overview
As a Pricing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing carrier relationships, evaluating freight rates, and constructing competitive quotations for import and export shipments. You will collaborate closely with overseas agents, ocean/air carriers, and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze, negotiate, and procure competitive freight rates from ocean carriers, airlines, and overseas agents.
* Prepare, calculate, and send timely, accurate freight quotations to clients and international partners.
* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of global import/export procedures, shipping lanes, and industry regulations.
* Build and nurture strong, professional working relationships with carriers, vendors, and global agents.
* Monitor market trends, rate fluctuations, and fuel surcharges to optimize pricing competitiveness and profit margins.
* Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on rate structures.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated pricing experience within the Freight Forwarding / Logistics sector.
* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of international import/export operations, ocean/air freight, and trade lanes.
* Language Skills:
* Fluent English (written and spoken) is strictly required.
* German language proficiency is a significant plus.
* Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of negotiating competitive rates with carriers and overseas network partners.
* Communication & Organization: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with top-tier organizational abilities.
