The Assistant Manager – Statutory Audit is responsible for managing and coordinating statutory audit activities, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance practices. The role involves liaising with external auditors, reviewing financial statements, managing audit schedules, and supporting the organization in achieving timely and successful audit closures.

Lead and coordinate annual statutory audit activities.

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, and required reports.

Ensure timely resolution of audit observations, queries, and management action plans.

Track audit progress and support completion within established timelines.

Review financial statements and disclosures for accuracy and compliance.

Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP).

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.

Validate general ledger balances and account reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with Companies Act, taxation laws, and other regulatory requirements.

Support statutory filings and regulatory reporting obligations.

Monitor changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on the organization.

Evaluate internal financial controls and recommend process improvements.

Assist in implementing corrective actions for audit findings.

Support risk assessment and compliance reviews across functions.

Strengthen governance and control mechanisms to reduce financial and compliance risks.

Collaborate with Finance, Taxation, Legal, Compliance, and Business teams.

Present audit findings, reports, and recommendations to management.

Provide periodic updates on audit status and closure of observations.

Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in audit and financial reporting processes.

Drive standardization of reporting and documentation practices.
