About the Role
CoTrav is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to manage accounting operations, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in GST, TDS, reconciliations, invoicing, and compliance management, along with the ability to ensure accurate financial records and timely regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the complete invoicing and billing cycle, ensuring accuracy, proper GST application, and adherence to organizational and statutory requirements.
- Handle GST compliance across multiple states, including preparation and support for filing monthly returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, as well as annual returns including GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C.
- Perform GST reconciliations by matching GSTR-2A/2B data, validating Input Tax Credit (ITC), and reconciling sales and purchase records.
- Monitor changes in taxation laws and ensure compliance with all applicable GST regulations.
- Manage TDS-related activities, including deduction, calculation, timely deposits, and filing of returns such as Form 26Q.
- Ensure correct application of TDS provisions, rates, and sections while maintaining proper documentation and records.
- Process vendor payments by reviewing invoices, tracking approvals, and ensuring timely payment disbursements.
- Conduct regular bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation to support audits, compliance reviews, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth compliance and reporting processes.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (B.Com/BBA preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Candidates from high-volume transaction industries such as E-commerce, FMCG, BPO, Travel, or similar sectors will be preferred.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong understanding of GST regulations, return filing procedures, reconciliations, and Input Tax Credit (ITC) management.
- Hands-on experience in filing monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and annual returns (GSTR-9, GSTR-9C).
- Sound knowledge of TDS provisions, applicable sections, deduction rules, deposits, and return filings.
- Thorough understanding of statutory compliance and taxation frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, Busy, or other ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple compliance deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
