Job Summary
The QA/QC & Document Controller is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities while ensuring effective management and control of project documentation for commercial interior fit-out projects. The role involves maintaining quality records, inspection reports, approvals, drawings, material submittals, and project correspondence while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The position acts as a critical link between site teams, consultants, clients, and management by maintaining accurate project documentation and supporting quality compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesQA/QC Support
- Assist in implementing project-specific QA/QC procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct routine quality inspections and monitor site activities for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Support the preparation of inspection requests (IRs), quality reports, and quality documentation.
- Track and monitor quality observations, snag lists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions.
- Maintain records of inspections, testing reports, material approvals, and quality audits.
Document Control Management
- Establish and maintain project document control systems and filing procedures.
- Manage incoming and outgoing project documents, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
- Ensure all project documents are properly recorded, distributed, and archived.
- Maintain document registers, revision logs, and approval status trackers.
- Control document versions and ensure only the latest approved documents are circulated to project teams.
Drawing & Submittal Control
- Manage drawing submissions, revisions, approvals, and distribution.
- Maintain records of shop drawings, as-built drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
- Coordinate with Design, Project, MEP, and Client teams for timely document approvals.
- Track pending approvals and follow up with stakeholders to avoid project delays.
Reporting & Record Keeping
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly documentation status reports.
- Maintain project handover documentation and quality records.
- Ensure proper storage and retrieval of project records for audits and client requirements.
- Support preparation of project close-out documents and final handover packages.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with site teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and vendors regarding project documentation.
- Facilitate communication related to quality inspections, approvals, and document submissions.
- Support project teams in meeting documentation and compliance requirements.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and document control standards.
- Support internal and external quality audits by providing required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of project information and records.
Any Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management to support project quality and documentation objectives.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC, Document Control, or Project Coordination roles.
- Experience in Commercial Interior Fit-Out projects is mandatory.
- Familiarity with construction documentation, quality procedures, and project management processes.
- Experience managing large volumes of project documentation and records.
Knowledge, Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of document control systems and procedures.
- Understanding of commercial interior fit-out execution and quality standards.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of quality documentation, inspection reports, NCRs, RFIs, and submittals.
- Familiarity with ERP, EDMS, or project management software is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
