Job Overview
We are hiring a Barista & F&B Steward to be the front face of our café. This role combines specialty coffee preparation with guest-focused table service. You will directly influence guest satisfaction, reviews, and repeat business.
This is not a back-of-house role. If you lack confidence interacting with guests or cannot manage a busy café floor, this position is not suitable.
Key Responsibilities Barista & Beverage Operations
- Operate a manual espresso machine and grinder
- Prepare espresso-based beverages and specialty coffees
- Create basic to intermediate latte art
- Maintain coffee quality, consistency, and presentation
Service & Guest Experience
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Engage with guests in a polite, professional manner
- Handle basic guest requests and service recovery on the floor
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth service flow
Café Operations & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of café, bar counter, and service areas
- Ensure proper handling of crockery, glassware, and cutlery
- Uphold grooming, hygiene, and service standards
- Contribute to a lively, welcoming café environment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Barista or café service professional
- Hands-on experience with manual espresso machines
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi
- Well-groomed, presentable, and guest-oriented
- Comfortable working in a high-footfall café environment
- Willing to stay on-site in an off-beat mountain location
