Objective of the position:
The Project / Program Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end projects from development to mass production with strong involvement on the shop floor. The role ensures smooth coordination between design, production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to achieve delivery, quality, and cost targets.
Key Job Responsibilities :
1) Project Planning & Coordination:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Allocate resources effectively.
2) Shop Floor Execution & Control:
- Monitor daily production activities related to projects.
- Ensure process implementation as per approved drawings and standards.
- Resolve production, tooling, and process issues in real time.
- Support line balancing and cycle time improvement.
3) Process & Quality Management:
- Ensure adherence to APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and SOP.
- Support trial runs, pilot lots, and validation activities.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and downtime.
- Participate in internal, customer, and system audits.
4) Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional meetings with Production, Quality, SCM, Toolroom, and Design.
- Ensure timely closure of action plans.
- Coordinate with customers for trials, changes, and approvals
5) Risk & Problem Solving:
- Identify project risks related to process, tooling, capacity, and manpower.
- Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
6) Cost & Delivery Management:
- Control project cost and productivity.
- Ensure on-time delivery and ramp-up.
- Optimize material usage and scrap reduction.
7) Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain project trackers, MIS,APQP,PPAP Files and dashboards.
- Prepare SOP, work instructions, and process sheets.
- Record lessons learned and best practices.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong shop-floor and production process knowledge.
- Hands-on experience in machining / assembly / press shop
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and GD&T.
- Excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel and project tracking tools.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
