Field Service Engineer (Chennai) – TNSTC Bus Projects
Job Summary
Location: Various TNSTC Bus Depots across COIMBATORE
Shift: Night Shift (8-hour duration)
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹18,000 per month
Job Responsibilities
System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and complex troubleshooting for onboard electronics, including LED Destination Boards, GPS Units, CCTV Cameras, and MNVR (Mobile Network Video Recorder) boxes within buses.
On-Site Inspections: Conduct night-time depot visits to perform wiring audits, new hardware installations, and rigorous system testing before morning dispatch.
Reporting: Coordinate closely with the backend support team and submit daily service logs (DSL) via the company portal/app.
Liaison: Ensure technical issues are resolved within the SLA and maintain professional communication with Depot Managers and technical authorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: ITI or Diploma in EEE (Electrical & Electronics), ECE (Electronics & Communication), or Electrical Engineering.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of DC wiring, basic networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
Communication: Proficiency in Tamil is highly preferred for coordinating with depot staff; basic English for reporting.
Mobility: Must possess a two-wheeler for depot-to-depot movement (Petrol allowance provided).
Flexibility: Must be comfortable working exclusively in night shifts and operating independently in a depot environment.
