About the Role
We are seeking a CAD Design Engineer with experience in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling to support the design and development of machine components, industrial automation systems, control panels, and manufacturing solutions.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about engineering design, possess strong technical drawing skills, and be comfortable working with modern CAD software to transform concepts into production-ready designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D engineering drawings and layouts.
- Develop accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Generate fabrication, assembly, and installation documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and project teams to translate requirements into practical designs.
- Maintain drawing revisions, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Support prototyping, production, and project execution activities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in engineering design and drafting.
- Proficiency in at least one major CAD platform such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to create both 2D drawings and 3D models independently.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in machine design, industrial automation, electrical panel design, or manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with sheet metal, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
- Exposure to PLC, SCADA, IoT, or Industry 4.0 projects is an added advantage.
