HR Consultant
Location: Kochi, Kerala (Hybrid / On-site Visits as Required)

About the Role
College Guru is looking for an experienced HR Consultant to provide strategic HR guidance and support the organization in building scalable HR systems, strengthening organizational processes, and ensuring statutory compliance. The consultant will work closely with the management team to establish HR best practices, improve employee performance, and drive organizational growth.
Immediate Opening: Candidates with experience in the Education, EdTech, Digital Marketing, IT, or New Age Media industries will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and oversee the implementation of HRMS (preferably greytHR).
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, employee handbooks, and HR manuals.
- Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HR systems, and business processes.
- Develop and implement KRA, KPI, and Performance Management Frameworks.
- Create employee appraisal, recognition, reward, and career development frameworks.
- Guide recruitment strategy, workforce planning, and talent acquisition processes.
- Advise management on organizational development and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with Labour Laws, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual HR audits and submit improvement reports.
- Design and deliver employee and leadership training programs.
- Recommend HR strategies that improve productivity, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Support management in preparing the organization for future expansion, investment readiness, and sustainable growth.
Requirements
- MBA in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in strategic HR leadership or HR consulting.
- Proven experience in HRMS selection, implementation, and optimization.
- Demonstrated expertise in formulating HR policies, HR manuals, SOPs, and organizational frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, PF, ESI, and HR governance.
- Experience in implementing performance management systems, including KRA/KPI frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, consulting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in the Education, EdTech, Digital Marketing, IT, or New Age Media industries is highly preferred.
Engagement Details
- This is a Freelance / Visiting HR Consultant role and not a full-time in-house position.
- The consultant will visit the office on mutually agreed schedules and provide strategic guidance to the management team.
- Remote consultation and periodic review meetings may be required based on business needs.
