Role Description The Study Abroad Counsellor – Zirakpur will provide one-on-one guidance to students and families on overseas education options, including suitable countries, courses, and universities. The role involves assessing student profiles, explaining admission and visa requirements, and helping with application forms and documentation. The counsellor will conduct follow-ups via calls, messages, and in-person meetings, maintain accurate records in internal systems, and coordinate with admissions and visa teams to track application status. The position also includes participating in education fairs, seminars, and outreach activities, as well as staying updated on international education policies and university offerings. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh.
Qualifications
- Strong counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess student profiles and recommend appropriate study abroad options.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing documentation, applications, and follow-up activities.
- Ability to work with basic office software, CRM tools, and online application portals.
- Knowledge of international education systems, visa processes, and university admission requirements (training can be provided for suitable candidates).
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counselling, or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in study abroad counselling, immigration, or education services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chandigarh and adapt to occasional extended hours during peak admission seasons.
Pay: ₹11,061.78 - ₹25,000.00 per month
