Mission of the Role:
To have end-to-end ownership of a feature, work with customer and other stakeholders to understand the requirements for the Instrument cluster, displays & Electrification products, capture SW requirements, allocate requirements to the right teams and review the quality of the implementation.
Key Objectives of this Role:
1. Feature Planning, tracking, change & defect management:
a. Lead the definition of the Work package expanding it to further work items.
b. Establish plan according to the project milestone.
c. Negotiate with the customer on the technical requirements and delivery timing.
d. Estimate Efforts for SW Requirements.
e. Manage change requests through the change control process.
f. Actively manage the defect assigned to the feature by working with all the stakeholders.
g. Plan and track all the certification and manufacturing related activities as part of Feature tracking.
h. Develop the SOW and manage the work packages for third party features.
2. Feature requirements definition/evolution with customer
a. Analyze system requirements and its impact on operating environment.
b. Define the feature requirements working closely with the customer.
c. Open Issue log, track for closure and mature requirements.
d. Collaborate with customer on evolution of functional requirements.
e. Influence customer requirements to enhance Visteon platform reuse.
f. Ensure clear communication of dependency and the impact on delivery to the customer.
g. Identifies Critical requirements, Proof-Of-Concepts (POC) to mitigate risk and define POC scope.
h. Define feature execution flow diagram aligned with the SW Architecture.
i. Work with the Software and Hardware teams on the feasibility to support any committed requirements.
j. Document the SW functional and non-functional requirements with the necessary attributes and release to the Development teams.
k. Lead the HMI definition (wherever applicable), working with Manufacturing, Ensure the performance (KPI) for every feature is defined.
l. Conduct Software Requirements walk-through to the stakeholders.
m. Define verification criteria, method and owner for each SW Requirements.
n. Provides clarification raised on the SW Requirements.
o. Review development test report and assess feature implementation maturity.
p. Work with Validation and Integration test team to periodically assess the feature maturity.
3. Requirement management and process compliance
