Reporting To - Chief Ayurvedic Physician / Branch Manager
Job Summary
The Kerala Panchakarma Therapist is responsible for providing authentic Ayurvedic therapies and Panchakarma treatments as prescribed by the Ayurvedic physician. The therapist will ensure high standards of patient care, hygiene, professionalism, and adherence to traditional Kerala Panchakarma protocols while maintaining a safe and comfortable treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
* Perform Panchakarma therapies strictly according to the doctor's prescription.
* Explain therapy procedures and precautions to patients.
* Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the treatment.
* Monitor patient responses during therapy and report any concerns to the doctor immediately.
Panchakarma Therapies
Perform therapies such as:
* Abhyanga
* Swedana
* Shirodhara
* Pizhichil
* Njavarakizhi (Navarakizhi)
* Elakizhi
* Podikizhi
* Kati Vasti
* Greeva Vasti
* Janu Vasti
* Takradhara
* Kashaya Dhara
* Nasyam (under doctor's supervision)
* Udwarthanam
* Other Kerala Ayurvedic therapies as prescribed.
Treatment Room Management
* Prepare therapy rooms before each session.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment areas.
* Sterilize and arrange equipment and therapy materials.
* Ensure availability of oils, medicines, linens, towels, and disposables.
Material & Inventory Management
* Prepare medicated oils, herbal powders, decoctions, and therapy materials as instructed.
* Report shortages of therapy consumables.
* Maintain proper storage of Ayurvedic medicines and oils.
Documentation
* Record therapy details in patient treatment records.
* Update daily treatment registers.
* Report therapy completion and patient feedback to the doctor.
Hygiene & Safety
* Follow infection prevention and hygiene protocols.
* Dispose of biomedical waste according to applicable regulations.
* Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance.
Teamwork
* Coordinate with doctors, front office staff, and branch management.
* Assist in patient scheduling when required.
* Support hospital wellness camps and promotional activities.
Qualifications
* Certificate/Diploma in Kerala Panchakarma Therapy or Ayurveda Therapy from a recognized institution.
* Additional training in Kerala traditional Panchakarma techniques is preferred.
Experience
* Freshers with certified training may apply.
* 1–5 years of experience in an Ayurveda hospital or Panchakarma center is preferred.
Required Skills
* Sound knowledge of Kerala Panchakarma therapies.
* Good communication and patient-handling skills.
* Ability to follow doctor's instructions accurately.
* Physical stamina to perform therapies throughout the day.
* Professional, compassionate, and service-oriented attitude.
* Strong teamwork and time management skills.
Working Hours
* As per hospital operational schedule.
* Weekly off as per company policy.

* Quality and accuracy of therapy delivery.
* Patient satisfaction and feedback.
* Treatment room hygiene compliance.
* Timely completion of assigned therapies.
* Attendance and punctuality.
* Adherence to SOPs and safety standards.
* Proper maintenance of therapy materials and equipment.
