Online Math Teacher (Grades 8–12) – Common Core Mathematics Curriculum
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Math Teacher to teach students in Grades 8–12 following the Common Core Mathematics Curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience teaching online. The teacher should be capable of simplifying complex mathematical concepts and adapting instruction to suit students with varying learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive online mathematics lessons for Grades 8–12.
- Teach according to US curriculum standards.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and student-focused learning environment.
- Explain mathematical concepts using multiple teaching strategies.
- Identify students' strengths and learning gaps and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Prepare lesson plans before each class.
- Design and administer quizzes, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic performance.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress when required.
- Encourage logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Integrate digital teaching tools effectively during lessons.
- Participate in curriculum planning and teacher training sessions.
- Meet academic quality standards and performance expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Grades 8–12 is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the US mathematics curriculum.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Comfortable teaching students from different cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Strong classroom management skills in an online environment.
