Job SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Senior .NET Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing web-based applications using ASP.NET WebForms and C#. The ideal candidate will have specialized experience working within the Payroll, Finance, or HRIS domain, possessing a deep understanding of tax calculations, compliance reporting, and employee data management. You will be responsible for stabilizing existing applications, optimizing database performance, and potentially assisting in modernizing legacy components.Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, code, test, and implement robust enhancements to existing payroll software using ASP.NET WebForms, C#, and VB.NET.
- Legacy Maintenance: Provide production and technical support, debugging, and troubleshooting complex issues in legacy WebForms applications.
- Payroll Domain Logic: Develop and maintain complex payroll calculation engines, tax compliance logic, and report ge
- neration systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development using the .NET framework.
- Core Technical Skills:
- Expertise in ASP.NET WebForms (C# or VB.NET).
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, and database design.
- Experience with AJAX, jQuery, and JavaScript for front-end responsiveness.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience working on Payroll, HRIS, or Accounting software.
- Database Management: Write, optimize, and debug SQL stored procedures, views, and functions within SQL Server (SSIS knowledge is a plus).
- Code Quality: Conduct code reviews and ensure application performance, scalability, and security best practices.
- Collaboration: Work with business analysts to translate payroll regulatory requirements into functional technical specifications.
- Tools: Familiarity with source control tools (TFS, Git, or SVN).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in migrating legacy WebForms applications to modern MVC or .NET Core frameworks.
- Experience with third-party reporting tools (e.g., Telerik Controls, Crystal Reports).
- Understanding of HR compliance and tax regulations (e.g., W2, 941 reports).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
