We are looking for a skilled Hydraulic Press Brake Operator to join our sheet metal fabrication team. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating hydraulic press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components as per engineering drawings while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic press brake machines for sheet metal bending.
- Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Select and install the appropriate punch and die tooling.
- Set machine parameters and back gauge for accurate bending.
- Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and bend angle.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Steel Scale, and Angle Gauge.
- Ensure components meet quality requirements before dispatch to the next process.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the machine.
- Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience operating Hydraulic Press Brake machines.
- Ability to read fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of sheet metal bending processes and tooling.
- Familiarity with MS, SS, Aluminium, and GI materials.
- Good understanding of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in sheet metal fabrication.
