Project Assistant (Position with PhD Opportunity)
The Centre for Research in Pure and Applied Sciences (CRPAS), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore, invites applications from enthusiastic and motivated candidates for the position of Project Assistant. The position is suitable for individuals interested in building a research career and pursuing a PhD in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, genomics, or related Life Science disciplines.
Research Areas:
The selected candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects involving:
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), Environmental and clinical microbiology
Eligibility
Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc./B.Tech./M.Tech in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or related disciplines
-Strong interest in research and pursuing a PhD
-Good understanding of microbiological and molecular biology techniques
-Excellent communication and scientific writing skills
-Candidates with NET/GATE or other national-state level/ competitive examinations/fellowships are particularly encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills:
Candidates with hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
-Microbial culture and characterization
-DNA/RNA isolation and PCR techniques
-Antimicrobial susceptibility testing
-Biofilm assays
-Bacteriophage isolation and characterization
-Genomics and bioinformatics analysis
-Scientific report writing and data interpretation.
