- Implements and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards
- Act as an advocate for patients; ensure a patient centered approach to the delivery of care.
- Greets patients and welcomes them to the unit. Participate in providing a better patient experience.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
- Administer medications as advised by the consultant. Ensures all medications are administered and charted according to established policies and protocols.
- Arranges for diagnostic tests with other departments. Observe patient for changes in condition.
- Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care
- Observes, records and reports patient’s condition to physicians. Maintain clear and legible patient records in accordance with professional standards.
- Provide immediate care during medical emergencies, discuss the treatment with clinical pharmacist and physician in the critical cases, and provide necessary guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention
