Job opening for Music Teacher
Job Location: Bandra, Mumbai
Brief about Aseema: Aseema Charitable Trust is a Mumbai based non-governmental organization with a mission to equip children from marginalized communities with high quality, value-based education enabling development of their limitless potential. It works in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and is currently running three MCGM schools – The Pali Chimbai Municipal School in Bandra (West) The Pereirawadi Municipal School in Bandra (West) and The Kherwadi Municipal School in Bandra (East).
Job Responsibilities:
- To be aware of and work in accordance with Aseema’s teaching approach.
- To teach music to the children as guided by the Assistant Heads
- To prepare a collection of the songs done in the classroom in booklet form
- To maintain and purposefully use all musical instruments and related equipment such as players, CDs and other such items.
- To prepare innovative lesson plans and teaching aids
- To teach in an experiential manner and make learning relevant and meaningful for the children
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Good communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree / certificate course in Music is required.
- Candidates with Music teaching experience at schools is preferred.
- Candidates residing in Mumbai only apply.
