Job Summary
GiftAbled Foundation is looking for a Speech Therapist to provide tele-rehabilitation services for children and adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The role involves conducting online assessments, planning individualized therapy programs, monitoring progress, and working closely with caregivers, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to improve functional communication outcomes. Telepractice has become an effective model for delivering speech and language services remotely while maintaining quality and accessibility. (ASHA)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments through tele-rehabilitation platforms.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Deliver online therapy sessions for children and adults with communication disorders.
- Provide caregiver and family training to support home-based intervention.
- Maintain detailed therapy records, progress reports, and outcome tracking.
- Coordinate with special educators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and program teams.
- Monitor beneficiary progress and update rehabilitation data on organizational systems.
- Recommend referrals for in-person evaluation when tele-rehabilitation is not clinically appropriate.
- Ensure confidentiality, ethical practice, and compliance with telepractice guidelines.
- Create therapy materials, home programs, and digital intervention resources.
- Participate in case discussions, training programs, and professional development activities.
Required Qualifications
- BASLP / MASLP from a recognized institution.
- RCI registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in speech therapy or rehabilitation services.
- Experience in telepractice or online therapy will be preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and counseling skills.
- Comfortable using video conferencing platforms and digital therapy tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, and other communication disorders.
- Ability to engage clients effectively in virtual sessions.
- Strong report-writing and progress-monitoring skills.
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary rehabilitation approaches.
