We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly skilled Quality Control (QC) Engineer to join our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality lifecycle, from incoming raw materials (metal slugs, polymer resins, dyes) to in-process molding, extrusion, and final retail packaging shipment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in enforcing strict manufacturing tolerances, managing modern laboratory equipment, and maintaining global compliance certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- In-Process & Final Testing: Supervise physical, dimensional, and aesthetic inspections of rigid plastic products, molded items, and aerosol/beverage containers using callipers, micrometers, and pressure gauges.
- Defect Mitigation: Identify, isolate, and log structural defects (e.g., flash, short shots, warping, printing misalignment, or stress cracking) to minimize manufacturing wastage.
- Supplier & Raw Material Auditing: Validate incoming bulk plastic batches and chemical pigments to ensure compliance with predefined regulatory and technical specification sheets.
- Testing & Calibration: Conduct leak testing, drop tests, load-bearing tests, and environmental stress cracking resistance (ESCR) assessments while maintaining calibration schedules for all laboratory equipment.
- Compliance Management: Ensure daily shop-floor adherence to ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, or GMP protocols. Maintain strict documentation, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and Daily Quality Reports (DQR).
- Team Supervision: Guide shift inspectors and line workers on zero-defect manufacturing standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
