Human Resources Manager — Sri Vaishnavi Drug House (SVDH)
Location: Nallakunta, Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time/Retainer (flexible)
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience and scope)
About SVDH
Sri Vaishnavi Drug House is a pharmaceutical stockist, distributor, and Carry & Forward (CFA) agent based in Nallakunta, Hyderabad, with an attached retail pharmacy. We work with 20+ pharmaceutical principals and supply hospitals and retail chemists across the region. As we grow, we're building out a proper HR function to help us hire well and run operations smoothly.
Role Overview
We're looking for an HR Manager to lead end-to-end recruitment for SVDH and set up core HR processes for a small, lean team. The top priority is hiring the right people — sourcing, screening, and bringing in strong candidates for roles like Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, Accountant, and operational/delivery staff. Beyond hiring, this person will also handle the core people-management functions that keep a small team running well. Open to full-time or part-time/retainer arrangements depending on the candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring (Primary Focus)
Own the full hiring cycle — job posts to final offer — focused on finding the best candidates, not just filling seats. Source through Indeed, referrals, and local networks. Screen resumes, shortlist, and conduct first-round interviews. Coordinate technical interviews with the owner/team lead. Run reference checks, draft offer letters, and manage onboarding paperwork. Maintain a live candidate tracker and build a bench of pre-screened candidates for recurring roles.
Onboarding & Records
Run structured onboarding for new hires. Maintain accurate, confidential employee records (contracts, ID proofs, attendance, leave).
Attendance, Leave & Payroll Support
Track attendance/leave and flag discrepancies. Coordinate payroll inputs with the owner/accountant monthly.
Performance & Discipline
Set up a simple performance review process and conduct periodic check-ins. Handle grievances and disciplinary matters professionally. Support decisions on increments, warnings, or role changes.
Policies & Compliance
Draft and maintain basic HR policies (leave, conduct, working hours). Ensure compliance with applicable labor regulations (PF/ESI if applicable, minimum wage). Keep contracts and documentation current.
Culture & Team Support
Act as the first point of contact for staff on HR matters. Support team communication and a positive, accountable culture.
Candidate Requirements
2+ years HR experience with proven recruitment/talent acquisition skills (pharma, sales, or distribution hiring experience a plus). Demonstrated ability to independently source and close candidates. Comfortable with job portals (Indeed, etc.) and Excel/Google Sheets. Strong communication in English, Hindi, and Telugu preferred. Sound judgment and discretion handling confidential information. Comfortable in a small, hands-on team environment. Bachelor's degree required; HR qualification (PGDM-HR/MBA-HR) preferred.
