What this job involves:
We have an exciting role for a Senior Specialist to support our Global Corporate Strategy team. This team is tasked with identifying and delivering transformative revenue growth opportunities while also supporting broader strategy initiatives across all JLL's current and adjacent markets in commercial real estate - the largest asset class in the world. We work together with Corporate Development, Product, Corporate Finance, Venture Capital investment, and executive teams to recommend JLL's path forward to increase shareholder value.
A key element of the Corporate Strategy team agenda is developing a deep and ongoing understanding of JLL's competitors and disrupters across all markets to help JLL differentiate in current focus areas, and to identify white spaces/future strategic opportunities.
The Senior Specialist will work closely with the Competitive Intelligence director to research and analyze JLL's competitive landscape to provide input into ongoing strategy development, and to brief leadership on competitor activity. In addition, we will conduct broader industry and company research and analysis in response to Corporate Strategy and executive leadership needs.

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
At least 7 - 10 years of experience in strategy, market research, competitive intelligence, or consulting at a top-tier firm
Proficient in market sizing, trend analysis, sector studies, white space analysis, competitive intelligence, value chain analysis, business model development, M&A, product / service benchmarking, market mapping, GTM strategy and business case studies
Expertise, experience, and/or strong interest in the real estate and technology industries a plus
Experience working in multinationals or global business experience
Well-versed with majority of leading research databases including PitchBook, D&B Hoovers, Cap IQ, Preqin, AlphaSense, and Factiva; familiarity with real estate specific databases such as MSCI RCA, Oxford Economics Construction, and Verdantix is highly desirable
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree program in business, economics, engineering, computer science or related field; MBA or Masters' degrees in similar fields a plus
Excellent research, problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrable ability to interpret and synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources into meaningful, action-oriented recommendations
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication (including presentation skills)
Organized and self-motivated; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining high quality deliverables
Comfort with and capability to work with a globally distributed team, with remote management
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills, including the ability to effectively tell a story at an executive level with visual elements using PowerPoint
Experience in Excel modelling
Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure to meet fixed deadlines
Ability to remain agile considering frequently changing priorities
Competitive team-player, patient and bold, curious, humble, creative, and fact-based
What your day-to-day will look like:
Conduct research, using traditional and unconventional sources, on activity of JLL's core and peripheral competitors across all business lines/markets and adjacent markets
Design questionnaires and interview guides for conducting expert interviews and primary research initiatives
Synthesize company and competitor research and implications into executive-level deliverables using strategic frameworks and analysis
Ask good questions to further understanding of how competitive analysis relates to the bigger picture
Build relationships, collaborate, and communicate effectively with stakeholders in the Corporate Strategy team and across JLL
Piece together information to tackle complex problems; drive quantitative rigor in decision-making
Support modules of broader strategy team projects that involve competitive and industry research
Support competitive intelligence lead on primary research and interviews
Participate in Corporate Strategy and broader JLL team check-ins and learning opportunities
Identification of potential M&A targets and strategic partners in a specific service line or geography – Additionally, impact analysis of an announced acquisition or partnership by JLL’s competitors on their business
Building long list of peers or competitors in a market through various sources, including desk research, expert interviews and databases.
Timings:
Day shift (11 am to 8 pm IST). However, flexibility is expected to take calls late in the evening based on project or team requirements.
