About the Company
Join a leading multinational manufacturing company (MNC) and pioneer in innovative self-heating portable food box manufacturing. We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations at our Ahmedabad manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of raw materials, inventory, supplies, and capital equipment.
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize purchasing costs.
- Coordinate with Production, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.
- Develop alternate suppliers and expand the approved vendor base.
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or replacements when required.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department for supplier payments.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare purchasing reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Executive, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with procurement software and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control and procurement best practices.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent English communication skills (Fluency is Mandatory).
