Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Lead - Employee Transportation. The Site Lead will oversee day-to-day operations of employee commute services, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient transport for all assigned locations. Responsibilities include coordinating with fleet vendors, drivers, security staff, and internal stakeholders, managing route planning and optimization, and monitoring adherence to service-level agreements. The role involves resolving operational issues in real time, handling incident management and escalations, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations. The Site Lead will also track and analyze operational data, prepare periodic reports, support budgeting and cost control, and lead a local team to deliver high-quality, employee-centric transportation services.
Qualifications
- Experience in transport operations, corporate employee commute services, preferably in large or multi-shift organizations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, internal teams, and employee groups.
- Proficiency in using transport management systems, routing tools, and basic MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability in team leadership, people management, and conflict resolution in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good understanding of safety, security, and compliance requirements related to employee transportation, including shift and late-night travel policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field; equivalent practical experience in transport operations may also be considered.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, based on operational needs.
- Prior experience in IT, BPO, banking, or other large enterprise environments is an advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
