Job Role - Design Engineer (Electrical)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize electrical systems, circuits, and components for new and existing projects.
- Create and review detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools).
- Conduct simulations and testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Select and specify appropriate electrical components, materials, and equipment for projects.
- Perform technical calculations to support system designs, such as load analysis and power distribution.
- Troubleshoot design issues and provide effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and test reports.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in electrical engineering to enhance design processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience (1+ years preferred) in electrical design engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC).
