About the Role
Divine Grace Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and registered Pharmacist to join our central pharmacy team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and ensuring all regulatory compliances are met within the hospital pharmacy.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who prioritizes patient safety, holds a strong understanding of pharmacology, and communicates effectively with both patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing & Billing: Accurately read and interpret medical prescriptions, dispense the correct medications, and process billing efficiently through the hospital's management system.
- Patient Counseling: Educate patients on their prescribed medications, including correct dosage, timings, administration methods, and potential side effects.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels daily, place timely indents for required medicines, and maintain strict control over near-expiry and expired stock to ensure zero wastage.
- Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of Schedule H, H1, and X drugs, as well as narcotics, ensuring strict adherence to the Pharmacy Act and state regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all medicines are stored under the correct temperature and hygienic conditions as per standard operating procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Must hold a valid and current registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
- Experience: Freshers with a valid license are welcome to apply; 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is an advantage.
- Skills: * Strong knowledge of drug names, generic alternatives, and dosages.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing.
- Basic computer skills for billing and inventory software.
- Excellent communication skills to interact comfortably with patients and hospital staff.
