At WillStar Media, we make AI-powered filmmaking accessible — teaching beginners and upskilling creators through practical, hands-on courses that bridge traditional editing and the AI tools reshaping the industry. We're building the education arm of a studio whose AI films already reach millions of viewers.
The Role
We're hiring a patient, engaging AI Video Editing Instructor to lead live weekly Zoom classes for our student cohorts. You'll guide complete beginners through AI-assisted video editing, storytelling, and production workflows — mentoring them from their first timeline to a finished film. Your success is measured by how well your students learn, not just by what you teach.
What You'll Do
- Conduct live weekly Zoom classes on AI-based video editing concepts, workflows, and tools
- Design structured lesson plans for beginners with little to no prior editing experience
- Break complex AI tools into simple, hands-on, demo-led learning
- Resolve student doubts during and between sessions (live Q&A and 1-on-1)
- Review student assignments and give clear, actionable feedback
- Keep course content current as AI tools evolve
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to refine course structure
- Track student progress and proactively support those falling behind
- Create supplementary resources — cheat sheets, quick-reference guides, recorded walkthroughs
Tools You'll Teach
Adobe Premiere Pro — editing, timeline, color grading basics
Adobe After Effects — motion graphics, VFX, compositing
Magnific AI — AI image upscaling & enhancement
Kling AI — AI video generation & scene creation
ElevenLabs — AI voiceover, dubbing & audio workflows
Wider AI toolset — Runway, Pika, etc. (a plus)
Who You Are
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Working knowledge of AI tools like Magnific, Kling, and ElevenLabs in real production contexts
- Excellent English communication — written and verbal
- Patient, clear, and a genuinely good listener who adapts explanations to each student
- Focused on doubt resolution and student outcomes
- Comfortable running live online classes (Zoom, screen sharing, live demos)
- Self-driven and organized — you own your prep, sessions, and follow-ups
- Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience is a strong plus
Bonus Points
- Built or contributed to an online course curriculum
- Prompt-engineering experience for AI video/image tools
- Active educator presence on YouTube, Instagram, or LinkedIn
- Understanding of storytelling, cinematography, or film-production basics
