Senior Test Engineer, Manual and Automation Testing
Overview -We are looking for a hands-on Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in manual and automation testing, particularly using Selenium, Playwright, and Java. The ideal candidate is highly practical, detail-oriented, and capable of contributing both to test strategy and day-to-day execution.Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional and regression testing
Build and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and Java
Identify, document, and track defects through the defect lifecycle
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage
Participate in test planning, test estimation, and release readiness activities
Create and maintain test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test reports
Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and support continuous quality improvement
Contribute to test framework improvements and automation best practices
Ensure quality standards are followed throughout the software development lifecycle
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience in manual and automation testing
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Java
Solid understanding of test design techniques, test execution, and defect management
Experience with regression, integration, and functional testing
Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test cases
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Good understanding of test automation frameworks, preferably with TestNG, JUnit, Maven, or Gradle
Handons with STLC
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins is an advantage
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in framework design or enhancement
Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured
Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira
ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus

Key Responsibilities
1. To participate in functional as well as technical discussions with the client /team to understand functional /design specifications ,highlight performance concerns, inconsistencies ,prepare automated test scripts,maintain test case suite,ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place/kept upto date.
2. To develop and continuously improve automated tests as new system features/ enhancements are developed and accordingly create work plans| monitor and track the work schedule for on time delivery as per the defined quality standards.
3. To create reusable /scalable test automation framework, develop test strategies/plans, maintain test data and to submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
4. To develop/guide and mentor QA engineers in the use of the testing framework , enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
