Key Responsibilities:
Production Management: Supervise, assign, and coordinate daily work activities to ensure manufacturing schedules and targets (KPIs) are met.
Quality Control: Ensure fabricated parts meet specifications and tolerances, conducting inspections, and leading root cause analysis for defects.
Team Leadership: Oversee shop floor personnel, including training, performance development, coaching, and managing employee schedules.
Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety procedures, proper PPE usage, and maintain a clean, safe working environment (5S).
Process Improvement: Implement Lean manufacturing principles, identify inefficiencies, and develop improvements (Kaizens) to minimize waste.
Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance to ensure laser, bending, or welding machines are operational.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 3-10 years in sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar production environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sheet metal processes (laser cutting, CNC bending, punching, welding).
Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, solve problems, and manage conflicts in a fast-paced setting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with blueprint reading, ERP/MRP systems, and measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges).
Education: High school diploma required; technical degree or certification is often preferred.
