We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Professor of Law & Legal Studies to lead teaching, research, and academic development initiatives within the department. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in legal education, demonstrate excellence in teaching, and contribute significantly to legal research, publications, policy development, and institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in Law and Legal Studies.
- Develop, review, and update curriculum in accordance with regulatory, academic, and industry standards.
- Guide and supervise student research projects, dissertations, theses, and doctoral research.
- Conduct high-quality legal research and publish in reputed national and international journals.
- Secure research grants and collaborate with legal institutions, government agencies, courts, law firms, and academic organizations.
- Mentor students, research scholars, and junior faculty members.
- Participate in academic committees, faculty meetings, accreditation activities, and institutional development initiatives.
- Organize seminars, moot court competitions, workshops, conferences, legal aid camps, and continuing legal education programs.
- Contribute to legal awareness, policy advocacy, community outreach, and knowledge dissemination initiatives.
- Support the development of industry-academia partnerships and professional legal networks.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Law or a related legal discipline from a recognized university.
- LL.M. with an excellent academic record from a recognized institution.
- Qualifications and experience as per UGC/Bar Council of India (BCI) and other applicable regulatory norms.
Experience:
- Minimum 10–15 years of teaching, research, or professional legal experience in higher education institutions, legal practice, or judicial services.
- Proven record of research publications in reputed and indexed journals.
- Experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars and leading funded research projects.
- Administrative and academic leadership experience in educational institutions will be an added advantage.
- Experience in legal consultancy, litigation, policy research, or corporate legal advisory is desirable.

Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.
