S.N. & Company is seeking an experienced and proactive Interior Designer – Museums & Exhibitions to join our growing team for ongoing and upcoming Government Building & Infrastructure Projects across Uttar Pradesh
About the Role
We are looking for an interior designer with a strong, refined design sense and hands-on experience in museum or exhibition environments. This role shapes how museum spaces feel — materials, finishes, lighting, display furniture and spatial atmosphere — and carries designs from concept boards through working drawings to finished, installed interiors. The right candidate has an exacting eye for detail and can bring a world-class finish quality to cultural and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities
1. Interior & Exhibition Design
- Develop interior design concepts, mood boards, material palettes and finishes schemes for museum galleries, lobbies, visitor amenities and cultural spaces
- Design gallery interiors — wall treatments, flooring, ceiling systems, showcase surrounds and integration of graphic panels and signage
- Design and detail display furniture and fixtures: plinths, vitrines, reception counters, seating and retail/amenity fit-outs
- Prepare detailed working drawings, joinery details, finishes schedules and material specifications
- Produce 3D visualisations and presentation renders for client and committee approvals
- Coordinate ambient and accent lighting schemes appropriate to gallery display and artefact conservation requirements
- Select materials balancing aesthetics, durability, fire safety and suitability for museum-grade environments
2. Execution & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with joinery, finishes, showcase, graphics and furniture vendors during fabrication
- Review shop drawings, material samples, prototypes and mock-ups against design intent
- Conduct site visits for quality checks on finishes, installation and detailing
- Provide inputs for BOQs, quantity estimates and interior work packages
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, AV integrators and the in-house project team
3. Presentation & Documentation
- Prepare design presentations, sample boards and option studies for clients and approval committees
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control and as-built documentation
- Prepare snag lists and oversee closure of finishing defects before handover
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, or B.Des / B.Arch with an interiors focus
- 3–6 years of professional experience with a portfolio that includes museum, exhibition, gallery or comparable high-finish interior projects
- A strong, demonstrable design sense — composition, colour, materiality and detailing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator/InDesign)
- Working knowledge of rendering tools (Lumion / Enscape / V-Ray)
- Fluency in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
