Senior Platform Administrator

ABOUT THE ROLE
JLL Technologies is seeking a Senior Platform Administrator to serve as the subject matter expert for our enterprise data platform ecosystem. In this senior role, you will own the strategic management, governance, and automation of critical platforms including Informatica, Control-M, Snowflake, and enterprise data archiving solutions. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor a global team, and drive the continuous evolution of the data infrastructure that powers JLL's most important business operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise data platforms including Alteryx, Informatica (PowerCenter, DQ, DIH, MDM), Control-M, and Snowflake.
- Design and implement robust governance frameworks covering data access policies, security protocols, and comprehensive auditing to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Lead platform architecture decisions, capacity planning, and performance optimization initiatives to ensure scalability and reliability for critical business operations.
- Coordinate with the Solix vendor and project teams to plan, execute, and ensure successful delivery of enterprise data archiving requirements.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive automation strategy using Python, shell scripting, and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and enable predictive monitoring.
- Architect and manage high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for all supported data platforms, including regular testing and validation.
- Drive the evaluation, proof-of-concept, and integration of new data technologies to continuously enhance the enterprise data ecosystem.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships; serve as the primary technical liaison for high-priority escalations and roadmap influence.
- Communicate clearly with business and technology leadership on platform health, project statuses, strategic initiatives, and risk mitigation.
- Mentor junior administrators, establish best practices, and create comprehensive technical documentation for platform configurations and processes.
- Analyze platform performance and utilization metrics to support strategic planning, cost optimization, and capacity forecasting.
- Lead periodic platform reviews and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance automation, and adopt emerging best practices.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI and SSRS support activities would be plus
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Education
- 8-10 years of overall experience, with 5+ years in enterprise data platform administration or data engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven track record leading complex technical projects in 24x7, global onshore/offshore environments.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and demonstrated ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Extensive expertise in the architecture and administration of Informatica platforms (PowerCenter, MDM, IDQ, DIH).
- Advanced proficiency architecting and managing enterprise scheduling with Control-M, including Workload Automation, API integration, and complex job flow design.
- Expert-level administration and governance of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, including cost management, RBAC, and data masking.
- Strong experience designing and managing Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) strategies using data archiving solutions such as Solix.
- Expertise in designing and managing secure, automated Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions using tools like GoAnywhere.
- Deep understanding of data modelling principles and experience managing an enterprise model repository with tools such as Erwin Data Modeler.
- Expert-level scripting and automation skills in Python, with a portfolio of solutions for platform administration, monitoring, and integration.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills; ability to lead complex projects and mentor team members.
- Exceptional debugging skills with strong experience in performance tuning across enterprise data platforms.
- Independent contributor and self-starter with strong motivation and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
