Designation:
HSE Officer (Health, Safety & Environment Officer)
Qualification & Experience:
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution.
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent will be preferred.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in HSE management within Oil & Gas, EPC, Process Industries, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, or Industrial Projects.
- Knowledge of applicable HSE laws, regulations, and international standards.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems.
- Experience in conducting Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HAZOP, and Incident Investigations.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Ability to conduct safety audits, environmental inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and training skills.
- Proficiency in preparing HSE reports, statistics, permits, and documentation.
- Good understanding of emergency response planning and crisis management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs across projects and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, environmental assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and Risk Assessment documents.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems, including hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, excavation work, and work-at-height activities.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental events; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and HSE training programs.
- Monitor waste management, pollution prevention, resource conservation, and environmental compliance activities.
- Ensure availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, fire drills, evacuation exercises, and first-aid arrangements.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, KPIs, and compliance documentation.
- Interface with clients, contractors, auditors, and regulatory authorities regarding HSE matters.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance throughout the organization.
