Job Summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operational activities of solar EPC projects including material dispatch, logistics coordination, site coordination, manpower planning, vendor follow-up, project execution monitoring, and inter-department coordination. The role requires strong operational control to ensure smooth project execution within timelines and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial & Logistics Management
- Plan and monitor dispatch of solar project materials to various project sites.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, transporters, and site teams for timely deliveries.
- Maintain dispatch schedules, material tracking, inward/outward records, and inventory coordination.
- Ensure proper documentation including delivery challans, e-way bills, gate passes, and transporter coordination.
Site Coordination & Project Execution
- Coordinate daily with site engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Monitor project progress and ensure activities are executed as per project timelines.
- Resolve operational issues related to manpower, materials, and site execution.
- Ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and materials at sites.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with installation contractors and vendors for smooth execution.
- Follow up on pending supplies, material shortages, and service support.
- Maintain operational relationships with transporters, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Planning & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Track project schedules, dispatch status, and installation progress.
- Update management regarding delays, bottlenecks, and operational risks.
Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure operational activities follow company quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate implementation of safety practices at project sites.
- Support site teams in maintaining documentation related to safety and operational compliance.
Team Coordination
- Work closely with Purchase, Accounts, Projects, and Management teams.
- Support smooth communication between office operations and site execution teams.
Required Skills
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Knowledge of Solar EPC operations and project execution
- Understanding of logistics and material management
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and reporting tools
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or Operations Management
- Experience in Solar EPC industry preferred
Experience
- 3–8 Years experience in Solar EPC Operations, Logistics, or Project Coordination
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects
- Ability to manage fast-paced project operations
- Strong leadership and coordination abilities
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
Employment Type
Full-Time
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
