The Area Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, managing distributor networks, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies across the assigned territory. The role involves developing strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts while ensuring achievement of sales targets and market share objectives for the company's ice cream products.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the distribution network.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
Distributor Management
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors within the assigned territory.
- Ensure adequate stock availability and efficient product movement.
- Monitor distributor performance and provide necessary support to achieve targets.
- Resolve distributor and trade-related issues promptly.
Retail & Market Execution
- Ensure effective product placement, visibility, and merchandising at retail outlets.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance and market coverage.
- Increase product availability across modern trade, general trade, and institutional customers.
- Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns in the market.
Team Management
- Lead, guide, and motivate Sales Officers, Territory Sales Executives, and field staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and field coaching sessions.
- Ensure the sales team follows company policies and reporting procedures.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and submit sales reports, market intelligence, and performance analysis.
- Track sales KPIs and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Monitor collection status and coordinate with finance for timely payments.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
- Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in the Ice Cream, Dairy, Frozen Foods, or Beverage industry.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or area management role.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
