Role: Project Manager (IT / Software Delivery)

Details
1) Role Purpose
· Own end-to-end delivery for 4–5 concurrent software projects across web, mobile and AI-enabled streams.
· Ensure predictable outcomes on scope, schedule, quality, cost (where applicable) and customer satisfaction.
· Experience in both services and product engineering delivery models.
2) Success Measures (KPIs)
· Committed sprint/release milestones met with minimal surprises; delivery forecast accuracy improves over time.
· Transparent governance: RAG status, RAID, MoM/actions always current; timely escalations and closure.
· Quality outcomes: reduced defect leakage/rework; stable cycle time/throughput and improved predictability.
3) Delivery & Governance
· Create and maintain integrated plans: milestones, release calendars, dependencies, resourcing and capacity.
· Run governance: kick-off, sprint ceremonies, weekly client reviews, internal delivery reviews, steering updates.
· Drive execution discipline: backlog readiness, Definition of Done, acceptance criteria, release readiness gates.
4) Scope / Change / Estimation
· Facilitate estimation with Engineering (story points/effort) and manage commitments.
· Control scope via structured change management: impact analysis, approvals, baseline updates.
· Document trade-offs across scope/time/cost/quality; maintain decision and sign-off trail
· Pre-sales estimation inputs; SOW validation and delivery risk review.
5) Stakeholder & Customer Management
· Be the single window for project communication; ensure crisp weekly status and proactive expectation management.
· Manage escalations with facts and data; drive RCA and corrective/preventive actions.
· Create executive-ready dashboards and update on risks and decisions.
6) Quality, Release & Operations
· Partner with QA/DevOps/Engineering on quality gates: test strategy, defect triage, UAT plan, release checklist.
· Coordinate deployments: environment readiness, cutover/rollback plan and post-release validation.
· Track defect trends and operational stability; drive preventive actions.
7) Technical Expectations (Delivery-Level)
· Open-source web delivery exposure.
· API-first delivery understanding: REST, integrations, auth patterns, SQL/NoSQL basics.
· Mobile app delivery exposure: Android/iOS and store release cycles.
· AI/ML-enabled delivery exposure: data → training/evaluation → deployment planning; MLOps awareness.
· DevOps basics: CI/CD, branching strategies, environments, deployments and rollback; cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP).
· GenAI/LLM feature delivery exposure: prompt evaluation, guardrails, HITL workflows.
8) Experience & Education
· 6–7 years in software project management (end-to-end delivery).
· 7–10 years total IT experience with software development background/experience (hands-on earlier preferred).
· Education: BE/B.Tech/MSc (IT/CS)/MCA or equivalent IT stream qualification.
· Proven ability to manage 4–5 concurrent projects and cross-functional teams.
9) Tools & Ways of Working
· PM tools like JIRA/Taiga/Azure DevOps (backlog, sprints, dashboards); Confluence/Wiki (MoM, decisions, SOPs).
· Strong Excel/Sheets for tracking, forecasting and reporting; disciplined documentation.
· Clear written and verbal communication; strong facilitation and follow-through.
