Key Responsibilities of a Target-Based RSM
1. Market Acquisition & Business Development
Training Partner (TP) Acquisition: Identify, pitch to, and acquire private Training Partners, NSDC-affiliated centers, and vocational institutes seeking NCVET-certified assessment bodies.
State Skill Mission Liaison: Engage with State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), Project Implementation Units (PIUs), and government departments to secure allotment of scheme-based assessment mandates (e.g., PMKVY, NULM, DDU-GKY, State initiatives).
Corporate & B2B Assessment Sales: Pitch SSTPL’s proprietary assessment platforms (SSTPL Exam, Perceptto, Mindora) to corporate clients, MSMEs, and educational institutions for pre-employment testing, CSR skill drives, and employee evaluations.
2. Pipeline & Sales Target Management
Funnel Building: Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective training partners, sector skill council (SSC) leads, and institutional accounts across the assigned region.
Proposal & RFP Management: Prepare technical and commercial proposals, response documents for tenders, and rate contracts floated by state governments or large skilling agencies.
Negotiation & Contracting: Finalize pricing structures, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and assessment fee terms in alignment with central SSTPL commercial guidelines and government caps.
3. Key Account Management & Revenue Retention
Client Relationship Retention: Maintain high retention rates among existing TPs by ensuring smooth coordination with SSTPL’s operations team for seamless assessment execution.
Cross-Selling Services: Sell value-added offerings to existing clients, such as Assessor Training Programs (ToA), AI-proctored remote exam software, and customized skill-gap assessment suites.
Volume Maximization: Work closely with onboarded TPs to ensure high batch fill rates and timely assessment scheduling to realize maximum revenue potential.
4. Billing, Collections & Financial Governance
Collection Targets: Ensure timely collection of assessment fees from TPs and facilitate billing documentation for government bodies to prevent delayed payments.
Reconciliation: Collaborate with SSTPL’s central finance team to reconcile billed candidate counts against actual assessed counts and cleared payments.
5. Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking
Competitor Mapping: Track activities, pricing models, and client coverage of competing NCVET assessment bodies within the assigned territory.
Policy Monitoring: Stay updated on NCVET regulations, NSQF guideline updates, and state tender notifications to identify early business opportunities.
