This role is being created as an addition to the ERP Competence Centre to address the increased quantity and complexity of testing requirements driven by the S4E program rollout. You will be critical in establishing a robust testing framework for a multi-year, dynamic project phase, with a focus on developing and governing the overall test strategy for Regression (REG) and Non-Functional Requirements (NFR), overseeing the operational management of all related testing activities, and managing the phased transition of these services to the permanent AMS/Operations team. As an expert-level professional, you will bring extensive experience in large-scale ERP test management, particularly within SAP environments, with a proven ability to define complex test strategies, manage vendor-led execution, and lead service transition initiatives.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- 40% Test Strategy & Governance
- Develop, implement, and own the end-to-end test strategy for Regression (REG) and Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) across the S4E program.
- Define and establish standards, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for test execution, defect management, and quality reporting.
- Determine testing scope, entry/exit criteria, and quality gates for various S4E project rollout phases.
- Collaborate with solution architects and functional teams to ensure test scenarios provide comprehensive coverage of critical business processes and technical specifications.
- 40% Test Operations & Execution Management
- Oversee the planning and execution of all REG and NFR test cycles, coordinating activities between internal teams and the external AMS partner.
- Manage the provisioning and maintenance of required test environments, test data, and testing tools for the S4E program.
- Monitor test progress, analyze results for trends and risks, and provide regular, clear status reports to program leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead the triage and root cause analysis of critical defects and performance bottlenecks, driving resolution with development and infrastructure teams.
- 20% Service Transition & Stakeholder Management
- Design and execute a phased transition plan to hand over established testing services from the S4E project to the long-term SAP Operations/AMS team.
- Act as the central point of contact for all matters related to REG and NFR testing, ensuring alignment with program managers, business stakeholders, and IT leadership.
- Create comprehensive service documentation and deliver training to the receiving AMS team to ensure a smooth handover and long-term operational stability.
- Establish and manage the operational budget and resource plan for the testing workstream.
What You Bring
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in IT quality assurance and test management, with a significant focus on large-scale ERP programs.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of defining and implementing test strategies for complex systems, with direct experience in SAP environments (S/4HANA preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in managing both regression testing and non-functional (e.g., performance, security) testing scopes.
- Experience in managing and governing services delivered by external vendors or AMS partners.
- ISTQB Certified Tester - Advanced Level (e.g., Test Manager, Technical Test Analyst).
