Job Summary
We are seeking an AERB-approved Radiation Safety Officer (RSO Level-II) with practical experience operating PET-CT and SPECT to support the Nuclear Medicine department in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The candidate will be responsible for patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical handling, image acquisition, and maintaining strict radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for nuclear medicine
- Handle and administer radiopharmaceuticals as per protocol and physician instructions
- Operate SPECT, gamma camera, and related imaging equipment
- Acquire high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols strictly
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Maintain accurate patient records, scan documentation, and imaging data
- Coordinate with Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Radiologists, Physicists, and Oncology teams
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
- Perform routine equipment quality checks and report technical issues promptly
- Maintain departmental cleanliness, compliance, and safety standards
Eligibility Criteria
- BSc / MSc / Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent recognized qualification
- Experience in Nuclear Medicine imaging preferred
- Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and AERB guidelines
- Valid registration/certification where applicable
