Head of Business Development Fleet & Logistics Business
Role Overview
Our client is looking for a business development leader to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth for its newly established logistics and fleet management business. The role will focus on developing key accounts, building strategic partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and establishing a strong market presence.
This role requires someone who can operate independently, build business pipelines from scratch, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and revenue generation initiatives for the logistics business
- Identify and acquire large enterprise and transportation customers
- Develop go-to-market strategies and growth plans for the business
- Build and manage strategic relationships with key clients and partners
- Drive contract negotiations, commercial discussions, and account management
- Identify new business opportunities across transportation and logistics segments
- Collaborate with operations and planning teams to ensure service delivery alignment
- Build sales pipelines, forecasting models, and business growth plans
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements
- Support the organisation in establishing market presence and brand positioning
- Create scalable sales processes and account management frameworks
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of experience in business development within logistics, transportation, supply chain, or fleet management industries
- Strong network within transportation and logistics ecosystem preferred
- Proven track record in building business from scratch and acquiring large accounts
- Strong commercial acumen and customer relationship management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution capabilities
- Comfortable working in high-growth and evolving business environments
