- Perform tensile testing using Universal Testing Machine (UTM).
- Conduct hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers).
- Carry out Charpy impact testing as per applicable standards.
- Verify mechanical properties against ASTM, EN, ISO, and customer specifications.
- Prepare and inspect test specimens for mechanical testing.
- Interpret, analyze, and report mechanical test results.
- Review Melt Log Sheets with respect to customer-specific mechanical requirements.
- Perform metallographic specimen preparation including cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching.
- Conduct general microstructure analysis.
- Evaluate microstructures as per ASTM A923 and ASTM A262.
- Perform ferrite content analysis using Ferritscope and metallographic methods.
- Conduct inclusion rating analysis and grain size analysis.
- Prepare accurate test reports and Material Test Certificates (MTC) in accordance with EN 10204.
- Ensure compliance with NABL requirements, including Internal Quality Control (IQC) and Inter-Laboratory Comparison (ILC) activities as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
- Maintain laboratory records, calibration status, and testing documentation.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and accreditation assessments.
