Role Description:
The FDPlan Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the FDPlan digital product—a cloud-based solution used to enable field development planning and portfolio optimization. The role supports multi-disciplinary teams by delivering scalable, integrated, and high-quality software solutions that accelerate scenario analysis and decision-making across subsurface, wells, facilities, and economics domains. This engineer collaborates closely with product teams, domain SMEs, and external partners (e.g., SLB) to enhance platform capabilities and ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
Technical Skills:
Front-End: Angular, AngularJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS Back-End: .NET, C#, Python, Go Lang, SQL, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, Swagger, Auto ML, LINQ & Entity Framework Cloud: Ansible, Azure DevOps (CI/CD), Azure IaaS & PaaS , Azure Functions & Durable Functions, Azure Service Bus, CVX Data lake, Azure Authentication & Authorization Problem-Solving and Collaboration Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues. Ability to rapidly iterate and test development concepts. Experience in developing flexible and scalable software systems for research. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with broader SLB and Chevron internal team.
