Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and proactive IPD & Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hospital's Inpatient Department (IPD) and ensure smooth coordination across all operational functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing patient care, improving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with hospital standards, and managing departmental performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesIPD Management
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Department (IPD).
- Ensure smooth patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed management.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and support departments to ensure quality patient care.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address complaints promptly.
Hospital Operations
- Oversee the overall operational activities of the hospital.
- Ensure efficient coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor hospital workflows to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
- Ensure compliance with NABH guidelines, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
Team Management
- Supervise and guide nursing, administrative, housekeeping, security, and support staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Coordinate staff scheduling and ensure adequate manpower availability.
- Organize training programs to improve service quality and operational standards.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and quality protocols.
- Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with quality and accreditation teams for NABH/JCI compliance.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and suggest process improvements.
- Coordinate with management regarding operational planning and resource utilization.
- Manage vendor coordination and support services when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospital Administration (BHA/MHA), Healthcare Management, MBA (Hospital Administration), or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in hospital operations or IPD management.
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of hospital operations, IPD processes, and patient care standards.
- Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
