Job Summary
The Purchase Assistant supports the procurement function by coordinating with vendors, processing purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, maintaining procurement records, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials and components required for transformer manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, and consumables as per production requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and monitor delivery schedules.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, and Accounts to ensure smooth procurement and invoice processing.
- Compare quotations, obtain approvals, and support vendor evaluation activities.
- Resolve supply-related issues and ensure timely availability of materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
