Key Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Greet students, parents, and visitors with an enthusiastic and welcoming demeanor.
- Inquiry Management: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address social media messages regarding class schedules, pricing, and age groups.
- Enrollment & Admissions: Guide prospective students through registration, manage student profiles, and update attendance sheets.
- Billing & Payments: Process monthly tuition, drop-in fees and handle basic bookkeeping or POS software transactions.
- Studio Scheduling: Coordinate studio room rentals, private lesson bookings, and manage instructor substitute lists when needed.
- Lobby Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area, ensuring appropriate music or studio branding is maintained.
Core Requirements & Skills
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle diverse customer groups, from young children to adult learners.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including experience with data management, spreadsheets, or specialized studio scheduling software like Mindbody.
- Multitasking: Ability to process payments, answer a phone call, and direct a student to the right classroom simultaneously.
- Problem Solving: Calm demeanor under pressure, especially during peak afternoon and evening rush hours when classes flip.
Typical Working Hours
Because studios cater to students after school and work hours, the schedule typically differs from standard office jobs. It frequently includes afternoon to late evening shifts (e.g., 4 PM - 9 PM) and weekend shifts.
