Job Summary:
A Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements. They perform inspections, testing, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Analyze quality issues and identify root causes using quality tools.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare quality reports and maintain inspection records.
- Coordinate with production, design, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Perform audits and ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.).
- Handle customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Use statistical tools for process improvement and defect analysis.
- Train production teams on quality requirements and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS).
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Experience with quality tools: 7 QC Tools, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Six Sigma, 8D.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance (varies by level).
- Certification such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Internal Auditor is an advantage.
Pay: ₹35,705.24 - ₹43,022.18 per month
