About Us:
Fixorix is a leading home services in Kerala. We are expanding our on-site service capabilities and are looking for a skilled Glass & Window Repair Technician to join our field operations team.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for visiting client locations (generated from our B2B and residential enquiries) to repair, replace, and install glass doors, windows, and related hardware. You will also be required to assess the damage, source necessary materials locally, and provide quotations to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Repair & Installation: Repair and replace broken glass panels, sliding door mechanisms, UPVC windows, aluminium frames, and shower partitions.
- Hardware Fixes: Fix or replace hinges, handles, locks, rollers, and telescopic channels for sliding doors and windows.
- Site Assessment: Travel to customer locations to inspect damage, take measurements, and understand repair requirements.
- Quotation & Sourcing: Provide accurate cost estimates (labor + materials) to customers and source glass, putty, seals, or profiles from nearby hardware shops.
- Quality Control: Ensure all installations are watertight, secure, and align with safety standards (especially for high-rise buildings).
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain hand tools (cutters, drills, sealant guns) and safety gear.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in glass fitting, glazing, or window/door repair.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of different glass types (laminated, tempered, reflective) and their applications.
- Proficiency in using glass cutters, grinders, drills, and sealants.
- Experience with UPVC, Aluminum, and Wooden frames.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication in Malayalam (English is a plus), and a problem-solving attitude.
- Logistics: Must own a smartphone and be willing to travel daily within the Ernakulam region (Two-wheeler mandatory).
